The last of Ferraris’ vineyards are located in the Comune of Montemagno, 3km north of Castagnole. The first, Barbera, produces the grapes for our Barbera del Monferrato. The other’s five hectares are divided into Ruchè (clear blue), Grignolino (orange), Barbera (pink) and Chardonnay (green). The soil is extremely minerally, so the grapes have extra minerality and acidity. In fact, the grapes grown here are generally ready for the harvest roughly 5-10 days before those from other vineyards.
